About
An experimental funk fusion band from Chennai, The Groove Culture, formerly called as Karnautic boasts of a repertoire that is an eclectic blend of Funk, Rock, Soul, RnB, and Indian Classical music. The Groove Culture had the privilege of opening for the legend Shankar Mahadevan and band at ‘IIT Saarang ’20’. The band performed their compositions and re-arrangement of Indian classical songs.
Formed in 2019, and led by a collective of exceptionally talented musicians, The Groove Culture infuses each performance with a unique amalgamation of diverse influences, stunning audiences with their soul-stirring compositions, and infectious energy.
The band's lineup features a roster of impressive talent, including Sushmita, a freelance vocalist whose soulful voice serves as the centerpiece of The Groove Culture's sonic tapestry.
Accompanying her is Vijay Ganesan, a versatile guitarist whose intricate melodies add depth and texture to the band's sound. Thirucherai Karthik brings a classical touch to the ensemble with his masterful violin performances, while Laxman lends his vocals and guitar skills. Kailash V enriches the band's sound with the rhythmic resonance of the Mridangam, while Megnus drives the band forward with his dynamic drumming.

The band went on to become the winner of the ‘OnePlus Red Cable Tour’, an all-India Band Hunt conducted by OnePlus. They came to the limelight for their unique blend of genres presented in a way, that sounds intellectual yet understandable to the common audience.
